IMPORTANT DATES:
October 21 - CAHA Board Meeting
October 25 – Annual Spaghetti Dinner
October 30 – Clothing orders due

CAHA BOARD MEETING
The next CAHA Board meeting will be Tuesday, October 21st at 7pm at Schroeder’s (Como Ave just east of Dale St).  Please note the change of day, as there is a space conflict at Schroeder’s for the remainder of the year so we are moving to the third Tuesdays for Board meetings.

ANNUAL SPAGHETTI DINNER
The Spaghetti Dinner will be:
Saturday, Oct. 25th
Rosetown Legion (County Road C just west of Dale St)
4 to 8pm   Tickets for the dinner will be $5.00 again this year.   Donations are needed, and we are hoping everyone will be able to help us out in some way with this!!  If you know anyone in the area who'd be willing to donate a gift certificate or service of some sort ... if you would like to get together with a few families and go in on making a basket, or purchasing an item to be raffled or auctioned off ... or if you know how to make one of those very popular "Como Blankets" like we had last year ... we'd REALLY appreciate it!!   A list of duties needed to be filled for that day will be posted at the rink within the next few days.  This is a great way to take care of some of those volunteer hours early.  If you can help us out BEFORE the day of the dinner by doing some of the things that need to be taken care of, we will keep track of those hours as well.  Please contact LeAnn Kopic at:
lkopic09@hotmail.com
Thanks in advance to everyone willing to help make this year’s dinner a great success!!  Co-chairs, LeAnn Kopic and Nancy Crawford

USED EQUIPMENT
Now that you have tried on all the hockey equipment as we come into a new season, what can you do with the outgrown stuff still in good condition?  You can DONATE it to CAHA for use in our Mite and Supermite programs.  CAHA is a non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible (receipts available upon request).  Many kids want to learn hockey at this young age, but sometimes the cost of equipment can be overwhelming. There is a particular need for skates in smaller sizes.  CAHA Mite and Supermite coordinators will see that the equipment gets passed on for use in our programs.

COMO HOCKEY BOOSTERS CLOTHING
A nice assortment of Como Hockey clothing is being offered for sale in many sizes from youth through adult.  These items make great gifts and will arrive before the holidays.  Order forms are available on our website under the "forms" tab located on the menu bar.  Clothing order forms need to be completed and returned with payment by October 30th.  There will be an envelope in the arena office for completed order forms.  Stop by Biff Adams ice arena on weekends during the month of October to see samples of the clothing and to check sizing.  A schedule will be posted soon indicating the times the clothing will be on display at Biff Adams.   Squirt levels and up: The association will not be purchasing windsuits for players this year, but they are available to be ordered on the clothing order form.  If you are interested in purchasing a suit, please fill out order form and have it turned in by October 15th.  We should have those back in about four weeks.  Any questions call Gina Kray at 651-216-9106.   We will have a limited supply of sweatshirts, winter caps, tee shirts/baseball hat combos and a few fun items available to be purchased at the spaghetti dinner on October 25th.
